Why use AI to conduct an audit?
Since October 2023, ChatGPT-4 offers the ability to analyze images, such as screenshots. This has the potential to enhance design audits. Specifically, UX/UI evaluations of landing pages like the one below for Nike menswear.
As with any use of AI, the intent here is to showcase the potential for the tool as a viable supplement that can accelerate design workflows. It is not intended as a replacement for in-depth auditing, including translating findings and analysis into actionable design iterations.
Below, I present the prompt and accompanying response used to conduct this brief audit.

Prompt
You are conducting a UX and UI audit for Nike.com. Specifically, you are evaluating how Nike can improve visual communication on this web page and indicate sustainable product choices.
Response
Indicating Sustainable Product Choices:
Special Icon: Introduce a special icon or badge that can be displayed next to sustainable products. This icon should be easily distinguishable and should signify sustainability, such as a leaf or a recycled logo.
Filter Option: Add a "Sustainable Products" filter in the product search or category selection, allowing users to view only eco-friendly products.
Color Coding: Use a specific color (perhaps green or another earth tone) to indicate sustainable products. This color could be applied to product names, prices, or background tiles.
Dedicated Section: Consider creating a dedicated section or tab for sustainable products on the homepage. This could be named "Eco Collection" or "Green Choice".
Information Pop-Up: When users hover over a sustainable product, show a pop-up or tooltip with brief information about how the product is sustainable, e.g., "Made with 50% recycled materials."
Education: Include a small section or link on the page that educates users about the importance of sustainable choices and how Nike is contributing. This not only informs but also builds trust.
Storytelling: Highlight a particular sustainable product with a short story - where the materials come from, the community it benefits, etc. Storytelling can engage users emotionally and make them more likely to support sustainable products.
